The Cash Application Specialist II is responsible for the application of all daily receipts to the account receivable file maintained in the ERP system as well as the coding of all customer deductions. This role has more advanced authorizations and responsibilities pertaining to all cash activities affecting A/R. Essential Job Duties:

  • Receives, verifies, and posts all lockbox receipts to the Account Receivable file maintained in the ERP system.
  • Perform daily A/R reconciliations to ensure all cash received is processed
  • Posts credit card orders and payments.
  • Applies write-offs to accounts within guidelines.
  • Performs post-cash application adjustments as required
  • Allow or disallow discounts within guidelines
  • Performs monthly balancing on reconciliation accounts as needed with Staff Accountant
  • Prepares cash receipt documents for auditors Requirements:
    • Detail-oriented
    • High level of accuracy
    • Ability to complete assigned tasks timely
    • Appreciation for deadlines
    • Must possess good organizational and verbal/written communication skills
    • Associate or College degree preferred
    • Three years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Accounting field
