Job Description Job Description Job Title: Low Voltage Technician Job Description Responsible for the installation and maintenance of various systems including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems etc. Responsibilities Install low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, and fiber optics. Perform cross-connect cable tasks. Engage in fiber splicing and termination. Terminate cables according to color codes. Test for polarity and connectivity, and install racks and patch panels. Set up computer rooms. Process paperwork accurately, neatly, and timely. Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. Install pathways and cabling. Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge. Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training needs. Demonstrate the ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size. Lead small crews. Enforce a safe jobsite and maintain compliance with company safety and OSHA safety standards. Install and terminate peripheral devices. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
