Engineer will provide guidance and expertise on combat vehicles
supporting the US Army PEO Ground Combat Systems portfolio. This
role will direct engineering analysis and design in accordance with
engineering standards and project scope to serve our customers and
provide best in class vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Leads project technical team in the performance of
all engineering activities, including concept of operations
formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering,
system architecting, systems analysis and design, interface and
data architectures, validation and verification, systems
integration, systems operational performance analysis, Lifecycle
cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical
configuration analysis (PCA). Ensures the logical and systematic
conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions
that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints Performs
functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies,
requirements allocation and interface definition studies to
translate customer requirements into hardware and software or
engineering specifications Serve as the POC for engineering
discussions with the program external subcontractors Participate in
the budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements
and preparing justification data as required Researches, studies,
and proposes use of new technologies to be used in the development
of new and improved products Communicate project objectives to team
members Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing
standards. Ensure that technical issues are conducted within the
framework of company policies and procedures Evaluate designs for
performance, safety, and reliability Create and maintain project
documentation for analysis, research, and historical records
Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is
consistent with the Oshkosh Way. Conduct duties consistent with the
Company's mission statement, quality objectives, and defined
policies and procedures Provide technical assistance for prototype,
pilot, and production support Provide guidance to team members to
ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed and
documented Establishes priorities for work delegated to others
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations
Present and articulate in a clear manner design solutions and
technical issue resolutions to Oshkosh Senior Leadership and to
Government customers Conduct DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D analysis on
product designs BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's of Science in
Engineering 10-plus years of Combat Vehicle Design experience Able
to obtain a U.S. Secret or higher security clearance PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS Some experience with a high level CAD system and/or
Government TDPs. PMP certification Possess a strong mechanical
knowledge of vehicles and related systems Strong verbal and written
communication skills Excellent time management and organizational
