• Many More!Job DetailsPOSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for engineering, designing and troubleshooting the electrical portion of our conveyor systems. This position will ensure that the design criteria meets the objectives which relate to scope, quality, cost, manufacturing, service, and schedule. The electrical engineering owns the electrical portion of each project assigned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engineer the electrical controls of a machine and associated conveyor systems, including: --- Selection and placement of sensors and actuators. --- Sizing of motor starters and variable frequency drives for motor applications. --- Creation of drawing packages; includes schematic panel layouts, device layouts, bills of material, power wiring drawings, and safety circuits. --- PLC/HMI programming.
    • Maintain progress schedule for each project and ensure timely releases of deliverables.
    • Monitor design performance with regard to quality and budget.
    • Work with other engineers and departments to maximize performance and minimize cost for integrating mechanical and controls design on each project.
    • Programming of PLC's - create, modify and troubleshoot.
    • Generate, complete and control ECNs as required.
    • Perform equipment start-ups, both in house and at customer sites.
    • Work in a team environment to improve products and processes.
    • Exercise effective Project Engineering procedures to support and enhance the work in process of the organization.
    • Provide assistance in establishing engineering specifications.
    • Create and maintain engineering standards and procedures.
    • Provide assistance to internal and external customers.
    • Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value added work throughout the organization.
    • Promote an environment of open communication and trust. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical2. Four years of experience in a similar industry or a Bachelor of Science degree.3. Programming skills of PLC's - Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, excellent people skills are an essential attribute for this position.5. Project management skills.
