Job Description:
Position Overview Green Bay Packaging - Wausau Division is
seeking a safety-minded, high quality Plant Engineering Technician
to be a part of our team. Responsibilities
- Provide, sustain, and promote safe work practices and a safe
working environment.
- Work closely and participate in maintenance and upgrades of
production equipment in a fast-paced, automated production
environment.
- Work closely with Maintenance of the physical plant and all
production support equipment such as boilers, steam systems, air
compressors, lift trucks, dock equipment and conveyors.
- Work closely with departments and assist in scheduling all
repair work, machine installations, rebuilds, and preventive
maintenance as well as assistance in acquiring proper inventory of
machine parts to reduce inventory costs and ensure timely
delivery.
- Develop PM programs and train maintenance personnel on best
practices for effective PMs on production assets.
- Coordinate internal resources and outside contractors/vendors
for project execution.
- Oversee all maintenance and parts department programs
(IMAINT).
- Effectively work with Operations, Maintenance, and/or other
internal manufacturing groups, meeting their needs while always
focusing on the successful implementation of the overall
project.
- Assist in large scale asset improvement projects for equipment
and the plant.
- Assist in troubleshooting machine issues and provide
engineering support to repair/upgrade existing equipment as well as
assist in researching alternative supplies to keep plant up to date
and running smoothly.
- May require a flexible schedule. Candidate should be able to
work overtime, odd or unscheduled hours as required and share
on-call duties.

- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
- Minimum of a 2-year degree in Engineering-related field; Prefer
a 4-year degree or comparable industry-related work experience with
focus on Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Strong verbal, written and electronic communication skills
along with the ability to work closely with internal and external
customers.
- Computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft 365
programs and data gathering/analysis experience.
- Experience in repairs/upgrades to manufacturing equipment and
supervising/directing maintenance employees.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workload to
successfully complete tasks on time with minimal guidance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine diagrams
and have successful experience/ability to use math and accounting
skills daily.
- Strong analytical and technical skills and the ability to
problem-solve and apply knowledge to new situations or question
processes and provide improvement solutions.
- Extensive and superior success in troubleshooting and use of
electromechanical knowledge and experiences with a history/ability
of training others.
- Project support experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, AB Studio 5000, B&R,
Rockwell, Yaskowa, Rexroth/Indramat, Nord, and Siemens products and
programming software as well as Devicenet, CANopen, CANbus, and
other machine network communication programs. Compensation &
