Training Travel: 4-8 days per month LOCATION: North Coast Marine
Manufacturing Training Center STANDARD HOURS: 40 Hours per week;
Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Flexibility
required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as
necessary. PAY RANGE: $25.81 - $27.82 per hour *Salaries/Wages for
all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the
range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and
internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for oversight of all
labs at North Coast Marine Manufacturing Training Center (NCMMTC)
by working with internal and external customers. Prepare training
materials for classrooms and labs through safe and efficient
practices. Responsible for preventative maintenance and standard
operating procedure processes including repair and safe use of
equipment. Support the NCMMTC and Sturgeon Bay training teams by
efficiently procuring the supplies and equipment at the greatest
value for the college while ensuring customer training needs are
met. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure equipment in all NCMMTC spaces
operates and runs safely, including troubleshooting and repair to
maintain efficiency and training schedules. Work with internal
staff and external customers to ensure training needs are met and
support the instructional process by preparing necessary materials
and equipment. Design, develop, implement, and maintain
preventative maintenance (PM) and standard operating procedures
(SOP’s) for all shop equipment. Utilize and maintain various
equipment such as marvel saws, plasma cutter, welding equipment,
material handling equipment, hand/power tools, and electrical test
meters. Train others on the safe and proper use and care of
equipment. Implement and maintain a 6S (sort, set, shine,
standardize, sustain, safety) work environment in all areas to
maximize capacity and efficiency. Manage the purchasing and
disposals processes, including representing NWTC as the vendor
liaison, monitoring budget balances, tracking invoices, and
coordinating capital purchases. Assist in determining and
submitting capital projects requests; specify, research, and
validate supplier capabilities and bids; facilitate capital
equipment deliveries and installations; assist in capital project
planning, spending, and completion. Order, maintain, and track
inventories of materials and supplies; handle the logistics of
receiving, picking up, and delivering materials. Drive a forklift
or other equipment safely and efficiently, emphasizing the safety
of personnel and equipment. Track forklift or safety certifications
and schedule recertifications. Cut and grind weld test coupons and
prepare them for destructive testing. Ability to design, fabricate,
and weld using GMAW and GTAW processes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND
WORK EXPERIENCE Technical Degree or Trades Apprenticeship in
Maintenance, Welding, or related field. Three years of
manufacturing or related experience required. Microsoft Office
Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Working knowledge of various
hand tools and industrial equipment. Must hold a valid driver’s
license and be insurable under the districts standard insurance
policy terms. Ability to become forklift certified. An equivalent
combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of purchasing experience,
preferred. Adobe Cloud, Purchasing Software, Workday, preferred.

communicate effectively with students and staff. Light Lifting:
Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
