Join Our Team as an Electro-Mechanical Technician at Green Bay
Packaging – Folding Carton Division | De Pere, WI Do you thrive on
diagnosing and solving diverse mechanical and electrical issues? If
so, we’d love to meet you! Join our team as an Electro-Mechanical
Technician and play a vital role in keeping our production running
smoothly. You’ll work hands-on with a variety of equipment and
systems including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic,
servo, and PC-based systems and also contribute to general building
maintenance. Education & Experience Associate degree in
Electro-Mechanical Technology or a similar program preferred.
Relevant experience could be considered in lieu of a degree. What
You’ll Do: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are
not limited to: "Your responsibilities bridge the gap between
high-tech automation and critical site infrastructure. There is no
"typical" day; you are the primary problem-solver for the entire
facility." "This position is 100% active. You will be working on
the production floor, on the roof, and/or outdoors. This is not a
desk job. Whether you are deep inside a machine or plowing the
parking lot at 3 AM, you are the technical heartbeat of our
facility." Performing preventative maintenance to keep equipment
running efficiently. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
breakdowns. Installing and commissioning new equipment. Running
conduit; installing cable trays, pulling cables and wires.
Installing and maintaining electrical drives, motors, and control
systems. Troubleshooting and programming PLCs. Replacing and
installing lighting fixtures and lamps. Performing general building
maintenance tasks. Maintain strict tool accountability and hygiene
(GMP) standards to ensure our paperboard packaging remains
uncontaminated. Other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For
Strong troubleshooting skills and manual dexterity. Ability to read
and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. Solid
electrical and mechanical knowledge, including AC, DC, low voltage,
and 480V equipment. Experience with PLC programming and
troubleshooting. Comfortable working at heights (using ladders and
aerial platforms). Strong communication and organizational skills.
Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work independently and as
part of a team. Sense of urgency and attention to detail.
"Jack-of-all-Trades" Mindset: You are as comfortable
troubleshooting a complex PLC logic error as you are repairing a
leaky pipe or assembling a desk. Outdoor Readiness: Willingness to
work outside in all weather conditions (especially for snow
removal/groundskeeping). Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency with a
wide range of power tools, plumbing, and maintenance equipment.
Physical Stamina: This role is physically demanding. You will be
moving, lifting, and working on your feet for the duration of the
3rd shift Work Schedule Regular shift: 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday,
10 pm – 6 am. Initial training: up to the first 120 days of
employment working on day shift, Monday–Friday, 6 am – 2 pm, (is
preferred) Some overtime and weekend work may be required. This
