Hoffmaster Group Inc, an industry leader producing the most
complete line of specialty disposable tabletop products for over 70
years, is growing and seeking a Product Manager for Emerging
Products and Substrates. This individual can be located in at our
Corporate office in Oshkosh or our Marketing office in
Indianapolis. -Hoffmaster competes in three distinct business
segments - Foodservice, Consumer, and E-Commerce. Our products can
be found in thousands of retailers, restaurants, hotels, and more.

Product Manager, Emerging Products and Substrates focuses on the
creation, launch, and maintenance of new products/substrates
working cross functionally to drive organic growth for the company.
- -Research and development will be a key driver in the position,
which includes gathering channel and end user feedback that will
inform product and price strategy and create a value proposition
that enables share growth in Foodservice and Consumer channels of
trade.Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for top and bottom-line financial targets by
driving organic growth through new product development, market
expansions and marketing programs in collaboration with Channel and
Sales
- Manage the product lifecycle from cradle to grave including
item setup, pricing strategy, forecasting and portfolio
management
- Monitor, assess and translate market dynamics (competitive
activity, customer and end user trends, macro/economic trends) into
business opportunities and actions
- Develops a pipeline of new products and services based on the
voice of the customer, trends within Foodservice and Consumer and
determines application for current and future products
- Creates business plans and financials for each prospective new
product including sales training materials, positioning and
collateral development
- Evaluates the ROI related to new products including design cost
and pricing models to maximize sales and marketing potential
- Organizes and leads cross functional project team to design and
implement new products and services leveraging stage gate
process
- Conducts industry and customer surveys and/or focus groups to
evaluate product design, position, price and customer needs
- Works closely with Procurement, Legal and Compliance teams on
potential new materials from current and new suppliers along with
capabilities from new vendorsJob Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is a plus
- 3 or more years of experience required
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Motivated self-starter and ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as
analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to work well in large, multi-functional teams
- Experience working with sustainable materials and/or
certifications a plus, but not required.
- Must have strong market and customer focus with the ability to
communicate internal capabilities
- Ability to balance data and communicate reasonable options and
solutions
- Solid organization skills, must be able to multi-task and
