seeking a Sales Manager specific to Oshkosh Snow Products product
line. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for directing and
coordinating sales activities efforts within the Eastern North
America territory (US and Canada). Efforts include managing
existing customer and dealer accounts/relationships, new account
business development, formulating business development strategies,
developing sales forecasts, determining competitive pricing
guidelines to ensure sales profitability, generating leads,
generating quotes, converting leads to sales, overseeing
commissioning of trucks with customers and follow-on customer
support. The Sales Manager will work with Engineering and Product
Management with both product planning and product marketing. This
includes managing the product sales activity throughout the product
lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer
requirements, defining the product vision, developing, and
executing marketing plans, and working closely with Engineering to
deliver winning products. It also includes working with Product
Management, Marketing and Product Support to ensure revenue, market
share, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals are met. The
Sales Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and
marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goal
and builds relationships with current and potential customers.YOUR
IMPACT
- Oversee and manage truck sales through active and aggressive
contact with dealers, national direct accounts and end users
- Involves extensive customer contact
- Research, originate, and announce sales and marketing programs
to stimulate sales and profits
- Submit and negotiate proposals for new business and contract
changes
- Identify and recommend pricing methodologies for contracts and
proposal to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Participate in trade shows and seminars as required
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price
schedules, and discount rates
- Communicate market needs and trends to senior management
- Monitor and evaluate activities of the competition. Complete
competitor product analyses by identifying strengths and weaknesses
of their products and use this information to develop product
strategies that increase market share and contribution margins
- Provide customer support service to customer base
- Assist with sales forecasting activities and determine sales
objectives
- Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with
sales representatives
- Develop and update a five-year product strategy and roadmap
including marketing plans, analysis strategies and forecasts
- Deliver monthly revenue forecasts
- Develop sales tools and collateral
- Perform product demos to customers
- Communicate product updates related to changes in our product
offerings
- Participate in various focus group meetings with Engineering,
Product Management and customers to communicate the changing needs
and demands of the market
- Work with Product Management and Marketing to plan, develop and
approve all advertising, brochures, video media, website and media
articles
- Facilitate and lead the Sales team by staffing, training, and
performance evaluations to develop and control sales program to
meet financial goals
- Participate in product development teams keeping the customer
and market needs in front of the team
- Focus on contribution margin growth
- All other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably
assigned by the employer or its designeeYOUR EXPERIENCE AND
EXPERTIESE
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or
related field
- 8 or more years related experience
- Knowledge of applicable product line
- Knowledge of sales and pricing strategies
- Knowledge applicable industry markets
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to travel 60 -75%STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA degree
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
and tools
- Ability to interpret data and analyze results using statistical
techniques
- Experience with selling large mobile equipment used for snow
and ice removal, construction, or agriculture applications
- Knowledge of sales and pricing strategies
- Demonstrated success defining and launching new products
- Demonstrated success with meeting sales forecasts and
goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to be self-motivated
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without
formal authority
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint
