looking for an experienced Quality Manager- Laboratory for a client
in Wausau, WI. Our client is a well-known and highly respected

perks. Shift : Day shift (40Hrs) Mon - Fri JOB SUMMARY The Quality
Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and
ongoing improvement/maintenance of the quality program throughout
the Laboratory Service Line. Develops focus and purpose of lab’s
quality oversight committee (quality council) and facilitates
meetings. Ensures compliance of all laboratories with the quality
program. Develops framework for quality reporting at all levels.
Monitors quality program (QSEs) and provides regular status reports
to accreditation agencies and organizational leadership.
Facilitates process improvement projects identified to improve the
quality program. Involved in strategic planning to continuously
improve quality throughout the Laboratory Service Line. ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS - Work with Lab Leadership to establish functional
quality management program throughout the service line. - Work
across the departments and sites to establish quality monitors that
align to QSE. - Facilitate regular Quality Council meetings and
develop system-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) for the
service line. - Develop education programs (with Lab Education
Team) around Quality and Safety in the lab. - Stays current with
all regulatory and accreditation regulations related to the lab.
Acts as primary leader for all regulatory inspections and ensures
site readiness and compliance with all accreditation checklists. -
Works in collaboration with Risk Management and Legal Services with
regards to dissemination of data and information. - Manages the
laboratory incident reporting system and works closely with lab
leadership to investigate incidents and triage to appropriate SMEs.
Summarizes findings and resolves events with appropriate
documentation and communication. - Collaborates with system quality
teams and participates in regular system meetings. - Directs the
laboratory safety program and organizes regular safety inspections
at all sites. Monitors the use and disposal of chemicals in the
lab. Coordinates and delivers lab safety training and education. -
Regular attendance is required in order to carry out the essential
functions of the position. - Reviews and meets ongoing competency
requirements of the role to maintain the skills, knowledge and
abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions. -
Initiate and facilitate process improvements identified through
occurrence management to correct problems and/or improve quality of
lab processes. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Other duties as assigned. JOB
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in
Medical Technology or equivalent (Microbiology, Lab Science,
Quality) required. Preferred/Optional: Master’s Degree. Additional
quality education preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: Previous
clinical lab experience (5 years). Preferred/Optional: Experience
in lab quality/regulatory oversight. Previous leadership experience
preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Minimum Required: ASCP or
equivalent. Preferred/Optional: ASQ or certification in
quality/auditing beneficial. PATIENT POPULATIONS SERVED Individuals
hired are expected to serve patients of different ages,
backgrounds, etc. When performing the essential functions of the
role, the individual must identify the patient age group to be
served and apply the appropriate care based on the patient’s age
and background. The hiring manager is responsible for communicating
the patient population generally encountered in the role and is
responsible for ensuring the appropriate cultural, age and related
