Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Grafton, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,236 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years ICU experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: Required: BLS, ACLS Preferred: NIHSS Must-Have: - General ICU experience - Vent/trach management - Invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swan) - Drains/tube management - Foley management - Chest tubes - Post-surgical recovery - Post-cath experience - Fresh heart experience (preferred) - CVVH - Balloon Pumps - CRRT (NxStage) Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in critical care. The unit is a Level III Trauma Center with 17 ICU beds. It requires a COVID vaccine. The patient population includes cases such as COVID, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, IV drug use, overdose, suicidal ideation, delirium, gastrointestinal bleeding, and stroke with TPA. Surgical cases include general surgery, orthopedic procedures, ENT, and gynecological surgeries. Cardiac and vascular cases include fem-pop bypass, CABG, valve replacements, post-cath care, AAA, and amputations. Nurses will be expected to handle a patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity. Support on the unit includes a Charge Nurse with occasional patient assignments, an ICU-specific Pharmacist during the day shift, and 24/7 respiratory therapy. The charting system used is EPIC. Travelers may float to intermediate units, medical-surgical units, and observation units as needed. Weekend rotations occur every other week with no on-call requirements. Scrubs can be any color except camouflage, denim, or hoodies. Frequent sick calls may prompt discussions regarding the contract and potential evaluations.
