Job Description UW Health is seeking a Histology Technologist for a job in MADISON, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Histology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: Ongoing - Employment Type: Staff Work Schedule: /n 100% FTE, night shift. Sunday – Friday 11:00PM – 7:00AM. You’ll help bridge the gap between a tissue sample being taken and a diagnosis being made by a pathologist. /n /n We are seeking a Histo Technician (HT or HTL) – Surgical Pathology to: /n /n - Prepare tissue samples for examination under the microscope by grossing/dissecting biopsy specimens, embedding tissue in paraffin wax, performing microtomy and completing various staining techniques of tissue on glass slides. /n - Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents), supply inventory and quality control to review and evaluate test or instrument performance. /n - Interact daily with pathologists, residents, and both intradepartmental and interdepartmental staff. /n /n /n At UW Health, you will have: /n /n - An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave and adoption assistance.
