Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Intermediate Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3408.00 Opportunity: RN - IMC Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked • 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP • Contract ends on Sunday, not Saturday • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units • Can be placed on low census call with 2-hour minimum call back • Patient ratio of 4:1 • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • 2 years experience required with Stepdown/Intermediate/PCU experience mandatory • ICU experience preferred, Trauma Level II preferred • At least 1 prior travel assignment required • Ventilator/Trach experience required • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS • EPIC charting experience preferred • Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred • Any color scrubs permitted • Work in 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry • Care for patients with stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeds, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke • Manage primary patients and insulin drips • Fast-paced unit requiring independent work and timely task completion • Must be hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change well Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit specializing in complex patient care including trauma, neurology, and critical care services.
