Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 6 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2556.00 Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 36 guaranteed hours per week • 6-week contract assignment • Every other weekend and every other holiday required • Float to all inpatient units as needed • Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back • Patient ratio typically 1:4 on 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit • Care for post-operative CABG/valve patients, thoracotomy, vascular procedures, arrhythmia, CHF, post-catheterization procedures, pacemaker and defibrillator patients, ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and medical/surgical overflow • Must have 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) and 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience • Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required • At least one travel assignment must be completed • 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required • Must pass EKG test during first week of hire • Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS • Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility • Any scrub color acceptable • Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred • Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover requiring independent work and time management skills Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac care program with a specialized 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit.
