Job Description:
Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Certified
Medication Aide to join our team, delivering high-quality and
compassionate care within our correctional facility healthcare
services. This role is central to our mission of providing
customized, innovative healthcare solutions while ensuring safety
and adhering to regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be
responsible in administering daily medication to patients,
accurately maintaining records, and ensuring the dignity and health
of those under our care in a secure environment. Administer
prescription medication under the supervision of registered nurses
or other medical supervisors. Record all medication administered
into the patient’s health records accurately. Monitor patients for
side effects and report any adverse reactions to medical personnel.
Participate in reviews of treatment plans. Ensure proper storage
and security conditions for all drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
Educate patients about their medications, including possible side
effects. Maintain strict compliance with all applicable laws and
regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in handling drugs.
Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment. Knowledge
of pharmacology and proper medication administration techniques.
Medical Insurance Life Insurance Certification as a Medication Aide
from a state-approved program.
