Ascension Wisconsin is looking for a Neurosurgeon for our
Neurosciences department. This is a great opportunity for the right
candidate to partner with Ascension Wisconsin to provide medical
services to patients. Position: Join a well established team
consisting of: o 1 Neurosurgery Physician o Neurosurgery APPs o
Neurologist Physicians and Physician Assistants o
Neuropsychologists o Epilptologists and APP support o
NeuroInterventional Radiology o Neurohospitalists Join an
organization that has supportive leadership to promote individual
and service line success ? Comprehensive Stroke Center ?
Interventional Pain Program ? Strong in-house Hospitalist Teams ?
Full range of service available for patients ? Excellent Primary
Care Referral Base ? Designated Neuro ICU at the Hospital ?
Multispecialty group with strong referral patterns - Interest and
desire to do spine and cranial work Responsibilities: - Provide
medical services to patients in an assigned area. - Evaluate and
treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment
skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management. -
Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of
efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided
to patients. - Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act
as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients
who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses,
depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. -
Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and
research) as requested. - Provide appropriate documentation that
meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a
timely manner. - Participate in inpatient and outpatient
consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification /
Registration: - Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin
Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer
date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office. - Advanced
Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red
Cross accepted. Education: - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of
Osteopathy (DO) required. What additional preferences we're seeking
