weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a
Radiology Technologist at a Level III Trauma Center and
Magnet-designated hospital in Milwaukee, WI, with at least 2 years
of acute or surgical experience and strong procedural skills.
Details - Located at a 636-bed, Level III Trauma Center and
Magnet-designated hospital in Milwaukee, WI that is also a Primary
Stroke Center and houses a Level III NICU - Radiology department
includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room,
2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room -
Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and
procedural patients across all age ranges, with limited pediatrics
- Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day - Procedures
include fluoroscopy (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures,
urology cases) and OR cases (ortho, general, and spine) - EMR is
Epic; PACS is McKesson; X-ray equipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del
Medical; C-arm equipment includes GE 9900, GE Elites, and Medtronic
O-arms - 8-hour evening shifts, Monday–Friday with flexible start
times typically ranging 11:30 AM–3:30 PM depending on staffing
needs - Schedule runs Monday–Friday with an every-other-weekend
rotation; one day off the week leading into a work weekend and one
day off the following week - One on-call shift per week (call
windows: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, or 10:30 PM–6:30 AM) -
One holiday shift required per 13-week contract - No floating to
other units Requirements - Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical
Radiology experience required, with most recent experience within
the last year - ARRT certification, WI state license (license
required if applicable), and current BLS required - Proficiency in
surgical/procedural imaging, general radiology, and portable X-rays
required - Experience with fluoroscopy procedures (ERCPs,
bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology) required - OR imaging
experience including ortho, general, and spine cases required;
comfort with O-arm preferred - Mid-to-high level acute care
hospital experience required - Epic EMR experience required -
Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a
Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN - Last 4 digits of SSN
and full date of birth required for consideration Additional
Information - Perform general diagnostic imaging, fluoroscopy
procedures, portable X-rays, and surgical/OR imaging across a
high-acuity, fast-paced department - Department is supported by a
lead tech on first shift, a radiologist on-site 24/7, and teams of
14 day-shift techs, 7 evening techs, and 3 overnight techs - Also
supported by RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7 -
Orientation includes facility NEO followed by 7 days of
department-specific training - First-time travelers may be
considered depending on skill level, particularly for candidates
with highly competent surgery and procedure experience - Surgery
scrubs are provided in-house - Free parking is available on-site -
