POSITION PURPOSE\: As a host/ess, you play the critical role of setting the tone for our guests as you lead and immerse yourself in the global vibes and introduce our guests to an unforgettable experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Meet and greet guests as they arrive with a smile 3. Take guests to table, hand them menus, wine lists, and inform them of who their server is and leave with a courteous greeting. 4. Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area. 5. Receive, record, and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and functions in the hotel. 6. Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed 7. Validate parking for guests. 8. Help maintain restroom facilities. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. 10. Greet all guests walking by with a smile 11. Self motivation during slow periods POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to read the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations. 2. Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items. 3. Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests. 4. Relay important reservation requests to servers. 5. Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions. 6. Open table computer handling. 7. Ability to multi-task and self motivate during slow periods. 8. Flexible schedule preferred. 9. No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred. 10. Good speaking voice and ability to maintain composure during stressful situations. 11. Knowledge of proper etiquette
