do their jobs every day.Electric Vehicle (EV) Trainer LeadThe
Role:An experienced and motivated team member, the Electric Vehicle
(EV) Trainer will lead Oshkosh as the subject matter expert for our
battery electric vehicle (BEV) training program. You will report to
the Engineering training manager and lead the development and
deployment of training for our battery electric vehicle programs
across the enterprise. This role will work with internal and
external teams to complete the development and delivery of
training.YOUR IMPACT:
- Develop an effective training curriculum standard with
appropriate learning content and assessment materials for Oshkosh
for engineering/prototype technicians, production and customer
service. The curriculum will include a Qualified Persons program
that will both graduate and audit team members for program
certification.
- With input from other business units, the curriculum will
include high voltage safety as well as platform and
product-specific training and meet evolving industry standards for
high voltage BEV training.
- Deliver training classes for technicians and others involved in
BEV programs and conduct Train the Trainer sessions to qualify
other trainers across the organization.
- Collaborate with the electrification team to ensure procedures
are up to date and compliant with company requirements as well as
national and international standards and regulations. Collaboration
with Engineering, Safety and Product Safety teams will also be
necessary to define requirements for each BEV project.
- Lend yourself as a resource for insight to engineering design
teams and mentoring as needed.YOUR SKILLS & EXPERTISE:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work
experience
- 5+ years' experience in electrical systems or 3+ years direct
experience with battery systemsSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and schooling around high voltage electric
vehicles
- Knowledgeable in electrical safety, OSHA, NFPA and other
applicable industry standards.
- Hands on experience working on / testing high voltage (HV) AC
and DC electrical systems in excess of 700V
- In depth knowledge about BEV vehicle HV components, HV battery
function and vehicle HV safety systems.
- Experience working with proper PPE, insulated tools and digital
multi meters (DMMs).
- Experience with damaged HVDC electrical systems and know how to
make them safe(er).
- Experience developing and/or delivering training
