Job Description Job Description Full Time Bulk truck Driver
Class B with Hazmat Ahlgrimm Explosives is looking for a Class B
Bulk truck driver to assist on the blast crew. The Bulk Truck
Driver will load, operate and drive and a Bulk emulsion truck used
for blasting rock at various rock quarries across the the state.
The Driver will start at the Ahlgrimm Explosives shop in
Hortonville Wi . After performing a pre-trip inspection, the Bulk
Truck Driver; with the assistance of a Blaster will load the bulk
trucks with the proper amount and type of products required for the
scheduled blast. Tasks such as loading the bulk tank full of
emulsion, filling the on road diseasel tank and filling smaller
chemical tanks attached to the truck are included. The bulk truck
driver will be responsible for a small amount of paper work The
Bulk Truck Driver will then drive to the quarry where holes in a
designed pattern have been previously drilled and may perform the
following tasks under the direction of a lead blaster: Place
required amount of detonators and boosters next to each hole Prime
the booster with the detonator and lower the detonatior down each
hole Reel out the hose Set each chemical pump and emulsion pump to
the desired rate for proper mixing of products Operate the pumps
during the hole loading process Take samples of the product to
ensure quality control and document the the information Properly
shut down the bulk pumping operations when completed Help block all
access points into the blast zone during the detonation of the shot
Signal air horn warning prior to the blast initiation After all the
blasts have been completed for the day , The Bulk Truck Driver will
drive back to Hortonville and help reload the the bulk truck with
fuel and bulk products used for the following day. Any remaining
explosive products not used during the blast will be placed back
into the proper storage facility The driver will then complete the
post-trip inspection and re-stock the truck wiht any tools or items
needed for the following day Benefits: Work outside Work in small
