This seasonal position is perfect for those looking to gain experience in the food service distribution industry, assisting drivers in the delivery processes during the busy summer months. You will ensure accurate and timely deliveries, manage inventory, and maintain safety protocols, contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations and the satisfaction of our customers. Assist drivers in the delivery of food and food-related products to various customer locations within assigned routes. Help in loading and unloading products from the truck carefully and accurately, ensuring correct items and quantities are delivered. Verify delivery contents with customer orders, handling discrepancies or issues with professionalism. Maintain communication with the main office and the driver to report and resolve any delays or issues encountered on route. Follow all safety protocols during transport and at customer sites, including handling guidelines and temperature control standards. Assist with vehicle cleanliness and minor maintenance tasks as required. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and operating hand trucks or pallet jacks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Basic mathematical skills for handling invoice adjustments and delivery documentation. Attention to detail for accurately tracking inventory and ensuring correct deliveries.
