Performance Foodservice is seeking a dedicated Route Driver Helper to join our Transportation & Logistics department. As a vital part of our team, the Route Driver Helper will assist the Route Driver in delivering our wide range of food and food-related products to various customers, including family-owned restaurants and nationwide chains across the United States. Candidates should possess strong physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under various conditions. Responsibilities include loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate order delivery, assisting in navigating routes, and maintaining communication with the dispatch team. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with previous experience in a similar role, though we are open to candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow within the logistics field. Assist the Route Driver in delivering food and food-related products to multiple locations efficiently. Load and unload products ensuring accuracy and safety in handling. Navigate and communicate effectively with dispatch and team members. Maintain documentation of deliveries and collections. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of delivery equipment.
