is hiring Warranty Mechanics in . Position Overview: STS Technical Services is actively seeking candidates for a Mechanic I role with our Fortune 500 Client! In this role, you???ll assist in the diagnoses of vehicle malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance and repair various types of heavy military transit and support vehicles with the assistance of a skilled mechanic, either in the field or at the operations garage. Your duties would also include vehicle repair, paint and body repair and electric/electronic diagnosis and repair under supervision. You???ll assist skilled mechanics in the work assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, and you???ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor on duty.

• Work Schedule ??? 40 hours work -week, - Mon- Thurs. 6:30am-4:00pm Fridays 6:30am-10:30am.

  • Diagnosis and repair of all heavy wheeled vehicles.
  • Removal and replacement of vehicle components.
  • Develop accurate diagnosis skills and effective repair and/or replacement of component techniques necessary for the proper functioning of assigned equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Perform timely and effective repair of any problems identified during preventive maintenance inspections.
    • Repairing and adjusting torsion arms, air bags, and all other components of suspension system.
    • Testing, repairing and/or replacing components of electrical and lighting systems. Qualifications:
      • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and schematics
      • Knowledge and use of pneumatic, mechanic and calibrated tools
      • Ability to take direction, as well as provide constructive feedback and ideas
      • Energetic and fast paced learner with good communication skills
      • Attendance and reliability is of the utmost importance for milestones
      • Hard working, must be flexible with tasks and priorities changing; this is not assembly style work
      • Flexibility with working on different vehicle platforms
      • Ability to be timely with repair, while maintaining quality work and minimal rework
      • Comfortable with asking for help
      • Be part of and contribute to a People First Environment
      • Quality and purpose driven ??? understand the military is our customer and poor quality may impact their safety and mission Training and/or Education:
        • High school diploma/GED required.
        • Applicable relevant mechanical background.
