Provides professional, empathetic, and compassionate care to team members, patients, families, and significant others. Greets patients and their families, assists patients with dressing/undressing, transports or ambulates patients, and assists patients with comfort needs.2. Demonstrates working knowledge of equipment and safety practices in the areas of CT department, general rad department, emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient services.3. Exhibits competency and skills needed to perform CT scans and general rad procedures per protocol and sets appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.4. Completes department tasks such as stocking supplies, checking outdated supplies, performing safety audits or tracking, and cleaning rooms and equipment to remain compliant with requirements, regulations, and policies.5. Provides practical instruction for students and other health care professionals.6. Shows competency in intravenous access and administration of contrast in accordance with established protocols while using aseptic technique.7. Completes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure. This includes proper image management and accurate documentation in electronic medical record.8. Applies critical thinking skills and ensures order accuracy when triaging and prioritizing patients. Practices safety at all times, which includes adhering to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles for proper radiation safety for self and patients, using mobilization and immobilization devices, following safe patient handling practices, following infection prevention practices (proper personal protective equipment), and following hand hygiene to comply with all government agencies or other regulatory bodies.9.
